National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
Introduction
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is designed to measure student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results provide an estimate of how undergraduate spend their time and what they perceive they have gained from attending college.
The NSSE project surveys random samples of first-year students and senior students using both traditional mailed paper and web-based questionnaires.
It was piloted in 1999, and has been administered nationally each year since then in the spring.
TCNJ Participation
TCNJ participated in NSSE in 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2009. We will next be participating in the Spring 2012 semester.
